As most of you have noticed by my dismal point total in the GE Fedex Cup points race, I have been seriously hurting in terms of our weekly picks. This week is a big week for me; WGC and majors yield more fedex cup points so this is the week I can really make up some ground on the rest of the folks. I have honestly felt like there is a consipiracy against me for some time between the local golf pickerers and the pga pros, but I havent been able to figure out how they communicate with each other.
With that said, I approach this week's picks with high hopes and anticipation. I picked Phil Mickelson as a primary (he has good history at Doral) and Sergio Garcia as my secondary/dark horse pick (coming off of a hot week at Bay Hill). Hopefully this wont be another 50 pt week.
Update: 3/22/07
Looks like Phil shot a +5 today (77), so it appears that there truly is some sort of conspiracy against me. I mean c'mon, there are only 4 people who shot worse than him. See that (3) next to his name? That means he is #3 on the fedex cup points list, and oh by the way he is #3 in the world rankings also. But guess what? If I pick him, not only am I guaranteed to lose, but I also will make anywhere from 0 - 53 fedex cup points.
